A nice (copyrighted) photo of us - Truus and Joost Daalder - as collectors, with some of our objects. Truus is holding her book, which includes many pieces of jewellery collected by us, and I hold an early 19th century Kokutani Japanese dish. On the table (left) is a great crown which comes from the Yi people (China: Yunnan), shown in *Ethnic Jewellery and Adornment*, p. 272, and (right) the spectacular belt with many carnelians that was originally bought in Macedonia. In the background our lovely15th c. carving of St Catherine.
