The jewel-like and iridescent surfaces of this ware along with its imaginative story-telling qualities of imagery helped to improve the profits of Wedgwood during a critical period.
By 1929, the interest in antique Fairyland luster declined and Wedgwood discontinued the line. The V &A Museum in London displays a major collection of Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre. This collection was donated by Bostonians who had the good sense to collect it before a revived interest in Fairyland overwhelmed the market.
